Croatia Pożega March 2014

In March 2014 teachers and pupils from our school attended a meeting organized within the Comenius partnership “Differences bring Us together” held in the town of Pożega, Croatia.

Our partners from Turkey, Spain and Greece also arrived for the meeting which took place in the J. Kempf School.

Croatian teachers and students gave us a warm welcome and as hosts they took care of every single detail needed to make our stay a very pleasurable experience.

During the meeting we were able to find out about music, traditions and folk costumes typical for this region of Croatia. We were invited by the mayor of the town and we could exchange some information on our educational systems.

Students and teachers were also involved in workshops. Students were painting the project logo which was made of gypsum. They were also cooking traditional Croatian cookies. At the same time teachers were working on project webpage and a cookery book that contains the most characteristic meals of each country.

We also managed to visit the capital city of Croatia –Zagreb, and the beautiful National Park in Plitvice.

Students had a change to integrate during meals, discos and other activities.
