The project promotes intercultural dialogue both during the process of project and afterwards. Through the project the students will have the chance to get to know and to visit other European cultures. This interaction could help eliminate any prejudice, pre-conceived ideas and intimidation against other cultures and countries.

 

 

The project is intended to be a child-centered one, in which pupils will be given the outline objectives of each activity and with the support of their teachers, decides how they wish to proceed. Pupils will be actively involved in the planning of all activities except those which involve teacher duties.

 

 

 

The main objectives of the project are:

-To promote understanding and respect for different cultures and traditions.

-To learn different countries’ cultural heritages which are costumes, dishes, wedding ceremonies, historical places.

-To give pupils opportunity to deepen the knowledge of their culture and others cultures.

-To foster new links with partner schools across Europe so that pupils can compare and contrast habits, culture, traditions

-To avoid negative national stereotypes.

-To reinforce awareness of belonging to European family.

-To work together to develop our school environments and promote understanding and overthrow the unfair national and gender stereotypes.

-To work together to achieve project aims, share ideas and methodologies.

-Propagation of the feeling of national membership by preserving our own traditions and cultural values.

-To enrich the cultural knowledge

-To contribute to the development of new teaching materials and collection of authentic resources to develop sustainable cultural education.

-To raise awareness of other countries´ educational systems, values and practices.

-To strengthen student’s faith in their own abilities

-To level the playing field among the participating school.

-To know the culture and the traditions of other people for European integration and having a positive towards other nations.

-To strengthen the school’s position in the area.

-To make the lessons more attractive.

-To reduce disproportion between the nations of the UE.

-To make exchanges of experience between the partners, having as a purpose the improvement of the educational act.

-To improve relationships between the pupils
