ABOUT US
Location

Our school is situated in Rzeszow in a quiet area at Dominikańska street no. 4, next to a beautiful park. Rzeszow is located in south-east Poland. It is an economic, scientific and cultural center of southeastern Poland and the capital of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. The advantage of the school is its safe and attractive location, away from busy streets with convenient access from any point of the city.
A few words about our school
The school was established in 1952, and has a long tradition and rich history. After many transformations, the school took on its present form. At that time, a number of significant projects improving the conditions of learning were made. Well-prepared teaching staff maintains a high level of education and students' knowledge. Children actively participate in cultural life of local environment (district, town) actively. They take part in tournaments, contests, as well as school and district sport competitions - even at the nationwide level. They earn numerous prizes, honorable mentions, medals and diplomas.
The school's motto:
'The school of the future - broadening our students' interest of art, culture, sport, foreign languages and Information Technology. School opened to Europe and the whole world, developing highly the activities of our students and educating in the master- student relation for wise, open-minded, warm-hearted and good people'.
European partnership
Our school participates in many projects co-financed by European Union. Participation in these projects help students in broadening their interests and developing their abilities(reading and writing skills). These projects give students an opportunity to level the playing field and increase their motivation and knowledge. Our pupils improve their language skills by taking part in additional English lessons, also with a native speakers. This year our school has organized two further projects under the eTwinning program. The eTwinning program was designed especially for schools, creating the possibility for international cooperation and joint implementation of educational projects for their students. Thanks to these projects, the students learn foreign languages in an interesting way, improve computer skills and learn more about the culture and history of other countries. Within the project, the students prepared electronic works about the school, region, and national educational system. The Students established contacts with other peers working on a specially prepared website called TwinSpace and participated in discussion forums.
​Robotics classes

Our school develops students' interests and abilities through organizing extracurricular activities. There are many interesting additional classes from different categories e.g. art, history, theater, science, gymnastics. Among additional activities, robotics classes are very popular. Students build robots from special Lego Mindstorms bricks, and then try to programme them so that they perform certain activities. During these classes the students develop their spatial imagination and creativity. They also learn cause and effect thinking, independence and responsibility. These classes also implement programming, develop technical vocabulary of the English language, teach teamwork and perseverance in pursuing goals.
